How Pixel Pier uses browser storage, loads separately hosted games and handles the local draft form. No ads or analytics are enabled.

Updated 24 October 2026

What this policy covers

This policy covers Pixel Pier’s catalog, local convenience features and game-loading interface. There are no user accounts, payments, comments, advertising scripts or analytics integrations in this version. The 23 external games run on separate Cloudflare Pages origins operated for this collection. The 31 locally hosted games load local files from the Pixel Pier origin. Loading an external game requests its separate host; locally hosted games do not require a separate game service.

Saved games and recent play

When you save a game, its listing identifier is stored under the retained storage key loomplay:saved:v1 in this site’s localStorage. When you choose Load game, its identifier and launch time are stored under loomplay:recent:v1. Recent history keeps at most 20 entries. Opening a listing without loading its game does not add it to recent history.

These lists are read on this browser; Pixel Pier does not send them to an account or statistics endpoint. They remain until you remove them or the browser clears them. Clear saved games and Clear history remove only their respective Pixel Pier records. If storage is unavailable, the page can use temporary in-memory state and explains that it cannot keep the change.

Game progress and browser storage

Each game can store its own progress, settings or records. The 20 new originals store challenge completions, the last selected challenge and best move counts under emberwild:original:GAME-SLUG:v1; they do not save unfinished boards. The 11 MIT games use their own named localStorage records for supported settings, scores or progress. These records stay on this origin and are not uploaded. External games store on their own origins, and the catalog cannot read, export or clear that cross-origin storage. Browser privacy settings may restrict storage inside embedded frames. A save made by opening the game directly may not be shared with an embedded session when the browser partitions storage. There is no promise of synchronization between browsers, devices, origins or private sessions.

Use a game’s own settings for its supported export, import and reset operations. Export a save where supported before clearing browser data. Deleted progress may be unrecoverable.

Requests to the site and game hosts

Before you choose Load game, the player shows a local screenshot and does not request that game host. For an external game, loading, reloading or following its direct link contacts the displayed pages.dev address. The 31 locally hosted games instead request files on the catalog’s own origin; their code contains no analytics, remote leaderboard or account service. File delivery can expose an IP address, request path, timestamp and browser request headers to the hosting infrastructure. This is separate from the local saved and recent lists.

The game hosts use Cloudflare Pages. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for its information. The catalog’s public address is https://riverglint.link. The catalog hosting configuration, infrastructure logging and retention have not been verified; this policy does not promise a particular retention period or processing region. External repository, license and help links contact their own destinations when followed.

Cookies, forms and advertising

The catalog uses localStorage rather than cookies for saved and recent lists. Its draft form checks your input locally: it does not transmit or store the name, email, topic or draft. A successful check means only that a draft passed local validation, not that anyone received it.

Google advertising is not enabled. If it is introduced, this policy and applicable user choices must be updated before advertising data processing starts. Google and participating vendors may then use cookies or similar technologies to personalize ads based on previous visits to this and other websites. You can turn off personalized ads in Google My Ad Center and read how Google uses information from partner sites and apps. These links explain Google’s services; their presence does not mean those services currently run here.

Your choices and questions

Use Saved games and Recently played to manage the catalog’s records, or your browser’s site-data settings for broader controls. Clearing one game’s origin differs from clearing Pixel Pier. Private browsing and storage limits can make records unavailable.

See Contact for the contact email and reporting guidance. Do not send credentials or sensitive storage exports in a privacy inquiry. Material changes to this policy will be shown here with an updated date.
